Aalt Brouwer, President , Class XIX
Aalt Brouwer and Company, LLC
Aalt is an organizational consultant based in Prescott, Arizona.
He offers organizations assistance and education in the areas of
strategy, leadership, team building, and client relations.
Aalt holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Chaminade
University of Honolulu, an M.A.Ed. from Northern Arizona
University, and a Doctor of Management in Organizational
Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Aalt’s appreciation for
technology is surpassed only by his desire to inspire and
develop effective leadership within all those who are willing to
serve.
He began his career in as a computer systems designer. In
1985, he joined the Nexus Group in Phoenix, Arizona, offering
consulting, team building and professional development services
to dentists and dental teams. He moved to Prescott in 1991 and
opened his consulting and education company with clients
throughout the United States and Canada.
Aalt serves on the board of directors for the Prescott YMCA. He
is chair of our first community garden in Prescott, located at the
Prescott YMCA’s Community Center. He is a Distinguished
Toastmaster, having served as President of several local
Toastmasters clubs and as Prescott’s Area Governor. He
resides in Prescott with his wife Betsy and Archer the Collie
dog. |

Patti Crouse, President-Elect , Class XIX
City of Prescott
Patti works as an Executive Assistant to the Mayor and City
Council of the City of Prescott. She is responsible for
administrative support to the Council, City Manager and Deputy
City Manager.
Patti has an AAS degree in Business office management as well
as a Leadership Certificate from Yavapai College. She has lived
in Prescott for 15 years and loves being involved in community
activities. Patti has found her niche in Municipal Government
work and is an advocate for the citizens of Prescott. She has a
passion for creating activities locally for youth and teens

Steve Bracety, Immediate Past President, Class XVII
Prescott Resort & Conference Center
Steve is currently the General Manager of the Prescott Resort &
Conference Center. As a twenty-year hospitality professional,
Steve has served in leadership capacities for Starwood Hotels &
Resorts, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and Inter-continental
Hotels & Resort properties. His career has led him to achieve
success in premier tourist destination such as, Tucson and
Phoenix Arizona and Rancho Mirage, California. Steve has also
opened hotel properties in Omaha, Nebraska, and Columbus,
Ohio. In his current position, he is responsible for not only the
day to day operation, but also for the strategic planning for a 160
room upscale property.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Management from SUNY Buffalo State College and a Masters in
Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He
enjoys spending time with his wife Kathy and learning the guitar
with his daughter Ann. Steve currently serves on the following
community boards in various leadership positions, Prescott Fine
Arts Association, Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association, Prescott
Area Coalition of Tourism, and Yavapai Big Brothers & Big
Sisters.

Wendy Bridges, Secretary, Class XX
City of Prescott
Wendy is the Tourism & Economic Development Coordinator
and Film Commissioner for the City of Prescott. She joined the
City in 2007, and is responsible for business attraction, retention
and expansion, tourism, film production, marketing and
press/media relations.
Wendy completed the Economic Development program at
University of Arizona, and received her film commissioner
certification from the Association of Film Commissioners
International.
Wendy is a founding member of Prescott Young Professionals
and served on its Executive Board. Professional affiliations
include: Arizona Association of Economic Development,
International Council of Shopping Centers, Association of Film
Commissioners International, Arizona Business Retention &
Expansion Committee, Arizona Rural Development Committee,
Northern Arizona Council of Governments Economic
Development Committee, Local First Arizona, and the Prescott
Chamber of Commerce.

Liz Burke, Treasurer, Class XVII
City of Prescott
Liz began as City Clerk for the City of Prescott in 2005 and is
responsible for municipal elections, Council meeting packets/
minutes, board/commission membership administration and
records management for the City. Prior to joining the City of
Prescott, she served as City Clerk in Flagstaff for 1 year and
Show Low for 18 years.
Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts (focus in Public Service) from
Northern Arizona University and began the graduate program at
NAU. She is active in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in
Yavapai County and is committed to public service and
volunteerism.
While raising her two children with her husband in Show Low,
Liz was involved in AYSO, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, AWANA,
and the Boys and Girls High School Soccer Programs. She now
spends much of her free time with her two grandchildren. |

Larry Anderson, Class XVII
Alliance Home Care & Mobile Diagnostics LLC
Larry is a graduate of the University of Montana, School of
Pharmacy. He served as the Director of Pharmacy Services for
Yavapai Regional Medical Center West and East Campuses for
20 years and retired in 2009. Larry is the CEO/President/Owner
of Alliance Home Care & Mobile Diagnostics for the past 16
years. He has served as Arizona Delegate to the American
Society of Health System Pharmacists for 7 years; Adjunct
Faculty and Dean's Advisory Board for University of Arizona
School of Pharmacy and Midwestern School of Pharmacy
Glendale Arizona Campus; Board of Directors for Chino Valley
Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors for Yavapai County's
Prevention of Elder Abuse Coalition; Vice President of the
Pharmacy Network of Arizona, Legislative Committee member
for the Arizona Pharmacy Alliance; and active member of
Prescott United Methodist Church. Larry’s wife is Devi (Stone)
Anderson (PAL Class XII) and 3 daughters: Caitlin, Ashley, and
Valerie. |

Alan Blaine, Class XX
Arizona State Credit Union
Allan is a native Arizonan who has lived in Prescott for 15 years.
He has been married to his wife Emily for 12 years. From
previous marriage, they have 3 children and now have 10
grandchildren. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in
Economics from Arizona State University. He has worked in the
Financial Services industry for 14 years – the past 9 years with
Arizona State Credit Union where he is the Branch Manager of
the Gurley Street office in Prescott. Prior to working in Banking & Investments, he worked in Retail Distribution for 15 years
mostly with Footlocker. He has participated in many community
organizations & events including: The Kiwanis Club, Sharlot Hall
Museum, Arizona’s Children’s Association, American Legion,
Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, American Cancer Society’s Relay for
Life and others. Most recently he completed his first year as a
member of Best Class XX of Prescott Area Leadership.

Tim Burkeen, Class XXI
City of Prescott
Tim is the Capital Program Manager for the City Of Prescott.
Tim supervises five project managers and seven inspection staff.
He has a B.S. in Business Management from the University of
Phoenix and a certification in Construction Management from
Rio Salado Community College. Tim was one of the founding
members of the Prescott Youth Hockey Association and has
served in several governing board positions. He has been a
leader in Royal Rangers, a member of the American Public
Works Association and the Association of General Contractors.
Tim is a father of two boys and is active in outdoor and running
activities.

Ame Callahan, Class XVIII
Northern Arizona VA Health Care System
Ame Callahan was appointed as Manager, Voluntary Service
and Public Affairs Officer of the Northern Arizona VA Health Care
System (NAVAHCS) in Prescott, AZ, in January 2009. In this
capacity, she acts as a liaison with community organizations in
an effort to maintain close working relations, dispense accurate
and dispel inaccurate public information, develop resources
within the community and maintain the positive public image of
the Health Care System. She also manages over 700
volunteers.
She enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1977 and began
her career as an Avionics Instrument Specialist on C-130
aircraft. She became First Sergeant in 1991 and retired at the
rank of E-9 (Chief Master Sergeant) from the USAF in 2001 with
24 years of active duty service.
She came to the Prescott VA in 2002 as the Special Assistant
to the Director. In 2006, she became the Business Manager for
Specialty and Diagnostics Service Line.
In addition to various Professional Military Educations, she
earned a BS in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois
University, as well as a Masters in Education with Counseling
and Human Relations emphasis from Northern Arizona
University.
She is married to Peter Eresman and they have three children
and six grandchildren.

Kathy Eiskamp, Class XXI
USANA Health Sciences
Kathy is an independent associate for USANA Health Sciences,
the worldwide leader in nutrition and health products. She has
been with USANA for five years educating the public on the
importance of being proactive with your health. She is also
certified to teach the “Healthy for Life” program. She is
especially passionate about educating parents on good nutrition
and healthy eating habits for their children.
Kathy lived most of her life in Champaign County, Illinois moving
to Prescott four years ago. Before starting her USANA business
Kathy spent 18 years in bookkeeping and accounting, almost
half of that time working in a CPA office preparing financial
statements, payroll and sales tax for their clients. She also
managed the offices and handled the accounting for several
private corporations before moving to Prescott. Kathy is the
Immediate Past President of the Prescott 104 Toastmaster
Club, she has helped present the Communication and
Leadership training at RYLA the past three years, is one of the
Volunteer Coordinators at her church, leads one of the teams for
the PUSD Backpack program for underprivileged kids and is
looking forward to her service on the Board of Prescott Area
Leadership. Kathy and her husband, Gary, a 30 year retired
UPS employee, love hiking on the many beautiful trails here in
Prescott. They have two married daughters.

Terri Farneti, Class XVI
Yavapai County Community Health Center
Terri Farneti is the Administrative Assistant to the Director of
Public Health for Yavapai County Community Health Center.
She is a graduate of PAL’s Best Class XVI. She served her 2nd
year on the Newsletter committee, and then spent her 3rd and
4th years on the Board, continuing to put the newsletter
together. Terri also served on the committee for the first Central
Yavapai Institute on Affordable Housing. She is currently serving
as Treasurer for the League of Women Voters of Central Yavapai
County, and is a “Big” through Big Brothers Big Sisters –
matched since 2003 with her “Little”. Born a Yankee in
Syracuse, NY, Terri has spent most of her career in the
Southeast before moving to Prescott in 1998. |

Kim Kapin, Class XIX
Kim Kapin is a native of Los Angeles. Prior to moving to
Prescott in 2005, he spent the majority of his career working in
the entertainment industry as a member of the Writer’s Guild of
America.
He has served as the Public Affairs Director for the City of
Prescott since 2006, overseeing communication between local
government and residents. Kim also hosts KPPV/KQNA’s “Talk
of the Town” radio show.
Kim holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California
at Santa Barbara and received certification as a court mediator
through the City of Los Angeles’ District Attorney’s Office. He is
dedicated to coaching and mentoring youth and was active in
Big Brothers of Los Angeles for 10 years. In 2010, he worked
with other PAL team members to re-establish Prescott Area
Youth Leadership. He will chair the program this year.
In his spare time, Kim enjoys playing tennis, mountain biking,
culinary arts (aka beer tasting), and spending time with his wife
of 31 years, Kim Marie (Class XXII).

Jennifer Nelson, Class XX
Yavapai County Long Term Care
Jennifer is a native to Arizona, born in Phoenix. She has lived in
the Prescott area since 1984 and is a graduate of Prescott High
School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science
with a Minor in Physical Science from Northern Arizona
University (NAU) in 1998. While attending NAU, she was a
member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and a
volunteer at Flagstaff Medical Center and a Private Physical
Therapy Clinic. After graduation, she worked for about 5 years in
both Neuro and Ortho/Sports Rehab at St. Joseph’s Hospital
and Medical Center and at a private clinic. Currently, she works
for Yavapai County Long Term Care as a Care Management
Supervisor, where she is responsible for providing direct
supervision, technical assistance, problem solving, procedure
clarification and review of duties and activities completed by
Care Managers. She also serves as a system administrator and
trainer for the case management software program. She and her
husband volunteer their time weekly with Cub Scout Pack/Boy
Scout Troop 7617 in Chino Valley to assist the boys with various
outings and fund raising activities.

Michael Whiting, Class XX
United Way of Yavapai County
Michael Whiting is the Executive Director of the United Way of
Yavapai County. He is a native Arizonan and is a graduate of the
University of Arizona, where he received his Masters Degree in
Public Administration. Michael has 30 years of experience in the
nonprofit sector and has been working in federated workplace
giving for eight years. During his entire career in the public
sector, Michael has always reported to a board of directors.
Alternatively, he has served on many boards which have been
community based and have ranged from health care entities to
municipal and civic organizations.
