March 2010

Dear PAL Alumnus,

The twentieth year of PAL is underway!  Your PAL Board of Directors is working hard to continue the dedication to PAL demonstrated by past boards.  The current PAL Board is committed to ensuring the organization’s success over at least the next twenty years, and has held two strategic planning sessions over the past six months.  In addition to an excellent first year for Class XX and a great second year for Class XIX, the Board has identified some straightforward objectives for the organization. We are updating and publishing our PAL directory, creating a business plan and a revised budget, updating the Bylaws and Policies & Procedures, and planning for a twentieth year celebration in June.

As you may know, PAL alum Tracey McConnell has been hired by PAL to serve as an executive assistant.  Her vision is to help the Board achieve its goals and she has been working diligently to see that we remain focused and organized.   She has already proven to be a great asset to PAL and the Board.

I would like to thank all of you, the alumni of PAL, for your continued investment in and support of Prescott Area Leadership.  Your participation is valued and your input is welcome and encouraged.  I hope to see you at PAL events such as upcoming Issue Days, the Man, Woman, and Youth Leaders of the Year awards ceremony and our 20th Year Celebration and Graduation.  As a PAL alumnus you may continue to benefit from Issue Days and networking with community leaders and PAL classmates.

As the PAL organization continues to evolve and grow, your support is needed both financially as well as by your donations of time and talent.  Please take a moment to consider making an investment and how you would like to be involved with PAL this year.   As always, there are many opportunities to contribute.  Also, please help us by promptly returning your PAL membership investment and completed PAL Alumni Information Update Sheet (for our database).  The 2010 Membership Investment and Benefits summary is attached.  Please note that your investment also supports scholarships for youth and class members.  Payments and updated contact information may be returned via mail to:

Prescott Area Leadership, Inc.

Please help us ensure the continuance of the “Best” leadership development program in Arizona!  Thank you for your continued support of the PAL program!

Sincerely,
